Pamela Fandrich was born and raised on a small country farm outside the town of Beulah, in western North Dakota. Her love of the outdoors was inspired by Lake Sakakawea, the Badlands, and wildlife. Her mother instilled a love of handicrafts and painting, and also strongly encouraged Pam in her early years to paint and draw. This influence of her parents and friends joined her fascination for nature and she’s been painting and drawing ever since.

Pam took up residence in the Phoenix Arizona area in 1986. Her first career of choice was cosmetology, real estate, and working in the field of investment services. In 1988 she began flying for an international airline while taking classes in various subjects at Scottsdale Community College.  She still flies around the world with the airline. This great career allows her days off to paint, the opportunity to see the world, and study many different cultures. The job also allows her to take photos of a wide variety of subjects she can later paint. Many of her works were inspired by far away places such as Greece, Bali and Italy.

In 2001 Pam started her own business painting on canvas, murals and web sites. She also works for six model home companies in the Phoenix and California area, creating murals for model homes and builders.  She is a member of the Scottsdale Art League and Arizona Art Alliance. She participates in shows and events around the Scottsdale area. One such recent show she participated in was the annual Desert Botanical Garden Show and Paintout. She recently won 1st and 2nd place awards for "Artist of the Month". Recent Awards are:

  • 2009 65th Fall Art Show Autumn Artistry "First Lady's Choice" award
  • 2010 BAGA Board Award
  • 2010 Pearce & Durick Award
  • 2010 Juror's Choice Award
  • 2010 "First Lady's Choice" Award

Pam enjoys painting everything from animals, flowers, portraits, seascapes and landscapes. Her mediums of choice are oil and acrylic paints. She is available for commission pieces. Some of her works are displayed in Down the Street Art Gallery in Payson (703 W Main Street, Payson, AZ) , and the Bismark Art & Galleries Association (422 East Front Avenue, Bismark, ND).
